LAZY GIRL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Happy weekend everyone!! August 4th was National Chocolate Chip Cookie day (not to be confused with National chocolate day, or national chocolate chip day, etc.). So here’s my go-to recipe for the easiest chocolate chip cookie you’ll ever make!
INGREDIENTS
1 1/4 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt
1 stick of butter (I use Imperial) at room temperature
1/2 cup light brown sugar
6 tbs sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups chocolate chips (I use semi-sweet
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350
- Sift flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside (you’ll pour this into the liquid mixture later)
- Use an electric mixer to combine the butter, brown sugar, and regular sugar until smooth (ish). Add in the vanilla & egg and mix with the electric mixer until combined.
- Little by little, add in the flour mixture. PRO TIP: Use a wooden spoon instead of the electric mixer for this.
- Once the flour mixture is completely poured into the large bowl, add desired amount of chocolate chips (usually half a bag is what I use)
- Drop spoonful sized cookie balls onto your baking sheet (I use a silicon baking mat on my pan).
- Bake for about 12 minutes depending on your oven intensity!
These are my go-to dessert. So easy to make, and SO GOOD. Even if you Bobbly Flay these (you know, just kind of eyeball the measurements and don’t actually measure), they’re pretty tough to screw up. Enjoy!!
